Recruitment
Being on a college athletic team is an important part of the student experience.
Athletics help students build life-long relationships with their teammates and peers. Being part of a team can help students develop time management skills and personal discipline skills that can, in turn, strengthen their academic performance. Practicing and playing a sport will also create a foundation of physical fitness and well-being that can last beyond college.
At Fleming College, our Athletics and Recreation team work to ensure our student-athletes have the supports they need to succeed. We work in partnership with our student-athletes, many of whom have seen high levels of success over the years.
Full-time students can try out for one of our 11 varsity teams covering eight different sports. Our varsity teams compete against other schools throughout the province under the Ontario College Athletic Association (OCAA) with a goal of reaching provincial and national championships.
